Sailor is a bit more independent then my other girls we have bred in the past. One reason I chose her besides her nice size and stature was her nature. I wanted a softer, easier Golden to breed. Our girls are generally very up-beat and energetic. I felt it was time to add some calmer spirit to the mix. Just as I had planned, the 4 beautiful litters Sailor Girl has produced for us have not let me down. In each breeding I sought out a stud dog that not only complemented her physically and genetically but also one that added more drive and energy as not to double up on her more laid back temperament. These puppies generally were placed in ‘working client’s homes’ as they were less likely to stress over spending a portion of their day home waiting for the family to return from their busy day. Sailor delivered her last litter of 6 puppies (3m/3f) 1/27/2005. She is now ‘officially’ retired to the roll of house-frouse where she is our senior bitch in the pack. She makes a great grandmotherly figure. She will always be our Marithyme "corn-dog", having swallowed a very large corn cob and saved by emergency surgery. Not funny but it earned her a special nick-name!
