***To those of you who don’t understand what a “line-breeding” means, basically both the sire and the dam of this breeding are both linked to the dog mentioned below and in this particular breeding,"STORM"
(his call name); CH. Purbarn Xtra Thunderstorm has the greatest amount of influence on this breeding. In some cases and depending on how close a line-breeding is (there are many degrees and in some breedings the same dog can appear in a 6 generation pedigree many times over). Storm appears only once in each of our breeding couple, but closely up front. So therefore we researched him and spoke with his breeder in the UK to be very sure this bird would fly! All green lights. Storm is a wonderful example of Golden Retriever, health and type all round. The links just below are designed to help you research Storm as well as our breeding couple.***

This will be a repeat of Morning’s first litter bred to Quill (PIRATE JARGON THEME) and our 4th generation of Marithyme Golden Retrievers. Both Quill and Morning are true to the natural Golden Retriever temperament, equally smart and biddable. Neither is over driven, both are athletic in build and enjoy outings and play. This coupling should produce a nice blend of brains and beauty, along with health, type and longevity. These pups should make excellent companions and family additions. I kept 2 puppies from the Pirate Jargon litter, Poppet & Skully. They are a delight. Reports from their littermates owners are equally endored. Please be sure to visit the Pirate Jargon photo pages.
An added note; I always use progesterone testing prior to breeding our girls. These multiple blood draws are quite pricey. This is just another way to help insure the breeding to “take” as well as increase the odds of a nice size litter. It also allows our girls to remain home until the test reveals she is now “ready” for breeding. Less stress on her (not having to be away from home unnecessarily and also less stress on the stud dog with a bitch that is not ready to breed). This test along with a current Lyme disease test & brucellosis testing are all standard procedure here at Marithyme. You expect the best and we strive to be professionals when we breed our girls. Waiting to breed only in “cold” weather also insures better over-all health of the pregnancy where the dam does not have to be heartworm pilled, therefore less risk of toxins introduced. Of course we want to produce healthy puppies but not at the expense “our convenience”. Reducing our breedings to cold weather also reduces the number of litters our girls can produce in half! Actions speak louder than words…
