Marithyme Golden Retrievers

Not all applications can be accepted. We do very few breedings usually one litter every year or so. Because I choose not to breed often and only house a small number of Goldens (mostly retired breeders now) my sales price may seem higher then many of the larger kennels that breed often. My Goldens are not "kennel" dogs but live in our home and the puppies are always raised under foot not in a barn, garage or kennel. My dogs are my passion and life long hobby not a "business". I know my dogs and I make every effort to know those who are lucky enough to take one home!

Agreement 1

I agree to never breed this pet quality dog, and to spay/neuter it before it reaches the age Marithyme sales agreement specifies. If I later breed this dog, I agree to pay a penalty of $1500.00 to Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue and return ownership of the dog to the seller.

Agreement 2
I agree to keep this dog in my possession and not give away, sell, or abandon it - but return it to this breeder if I relinquish custody.

I agree to provide a safe, clean environment with a securely fenced yard.

Agreement 4
I agree to provide a daily routine of feeding, training, exercise, play, and nurturing.

Agreement 5
I agree to care for this dog humanely at all times, providing necessary medical care and regular check-ups to include yearly heartworm testing and Lyme disease testing and preventative treatment for both.

Agreement 6
I agree to have this dog wear a collar with an identification tag, to microchip using AKC Home Again and to comply with Marithyme and also do an AKC CHIC Blood drawn DNA (performed by your Veterinarian)to assist Marithyme track all pet health through out my dog's life span.

Agreement 7
I agree to attend puppy socialization classes before the dog is 6 months old, and to begin obedience training before the dog is one year old. I will consider a "Canine Good Citizens" award.

I understand that sending this application does not automatically entitle me to a dog. I understand that this application is just a beginning step in the interview process.
