At Marithyme we thoroughly evaluate prospective puppy owners often our puppies have homes prior to the breeding taking place.

Pet pups are placed by us in "companion" homes, after we evaluate the experience and or suitability and time to be given daily and also the reason for the purchase.

No pet buyer can be promised sex or color (though we do note if clients have a preference), what sells our puppies is our more then 2 decades of dedicated and responsible dog breedings and placements in safe loving homes and my commitment to each breeding as only a true hobbyists can afford.
Prospective owners are encouraged to come to visit , but it is understood that the distance of some purchaser's may make a visit difficult. We do accept deposits for our puppies without visits in special cases after extensive phone conversations, referrals check out, e-mails, and purchaser is in full agreement and has completed to my satisfaction our on-line pet puppy application and sales contract requirements.

In the months or weeks before the pups are to go home, we get to know each 'selected' family and try to build a close bond. Previous clients have come to value our opinion and we have always had good relationships in the past with every Marithyme Puppy Owner.

Our latest venture has incorporated the use of the internet which has become an indispensable tool to help educate and communicate with owners to be as well as new owners and present puppy owners through the years. I have created a yahoo web site where we encourage our clients to join and participate in breed education to include all the designs of crate training and raising a well adapted social pupster to adulthood. This begins with weekly up-dates on the dam to-be’s pregnancy progress through delivery and onto weekly reports and photo gallery as to the progress of the whelps. Newbie’s learn from those more dog experienced in our group discussions and I have been known to also learn a thing or two from new owners who have tried methods I have never thought of! This can only work when I have pre-sold puppies from the intended litter. This gives me the freedom to enjoy our youngsters, relaxed to play and evaluate them, never busy selling them. I am watching the pups with each client’s life style and dog experience in mind. All along chatting back and forth or corresponding through the yahoo group site with the clientele. It is a wonderful experience as we all become very involved and very connected. Once the puppies are place, homed, the group continues to serve us as I will post brag photos, answer questions (many times others in the litter will join in with their experience in this matter) as well as discuss vaccines, foods, crating, obedience, when certain vaccines should have been performed and about veterinary care and those experiences. Nice too is the assistance from clients whose dogs are now grown from earlier litters. They love joining in and hearing what is going on with our dogs and breedings. It really bonds us all and that can only be a good thing.

Here at Marithyme it is my goal to pre-sell all our pet puppies prior to birth. All puppies are adorable, when you visit us we have no puppies to lure a buyer in. What sells our puppies is my devotion to the breed coupled the bitch herself (Jetty).
