Health and Nutrition Links
Golden Retrievers and Newfoundlands as all dogs need constant care and attention, I could go on and on writing about health issues and nutrition, but there are soo many good informative sites on the net that I find it best to send you looking in the right direction, the links listed below are sites I use when I need to find any information regarding the health and nutrition of my dogs.
Also it is a must that you have a good relationship with your Vet and that you are confident of his/her professional opinions, so choose your vet wisely, and if you are not satisfied with the service you receive, go to another one until you find THE right Vet for your dog.. I would like to take this opportunity to mention the Veterinarian’s and their staff I have come to know and trust here in New England. They are:
Essex County Emergency Vetrerinay Hospital
The Animal Ultra Sound Clinic
Newport Beach Veterinary Hospital, Southern Ca.
Our Marithyme Crew of Goldens & Newfi are trusted to the Pepperell Vet Hospital. The care is exceptional and their staff is professional, kind and helpful. I have been quite pleased and highly recommend their services. If you don't live local, neither do we, they are worth the drive!

PEPPERELL VETERINARY HOSPITAL
I would like to acknowledge a wonderful professional couple who I relied on and trusted the care of my Maritime Golden Retrievers from 1990 thru 1997 these would be doctors Edward & Gail Dykstra DVM of Alicia Veterinary Clinic in Laguna Hills California. Both Ed & Gail have retired from practice. A very warm heart felt “thank you” for always being there and respecting me and my judgment as a dog breeder. I was so fortunate to have been associated with you and the friendship we shared as well.
Another special thank you and honorable mention to a Veterinarian specialist whom we had the great pleasure to have known and trusted in our years in Southern California (then practicing in Garden Grove Ca.):

This raw fed, organic pet food site aims to help you the pet owner, realize that the large marketing budgets that the commercial pet food companies have, are not always geared towards telling you the truth. It will also help to explain why so many pets are ill and die at 10-15 years old instead of living to a ripe, old, fulfilled age.
***Marithyme’s comment: 5 star web site! A must read and view video before you purchase your next dog food.
