MODIFIED VACCINATION PROTOCOL - 2007 UPDATE
MINIMAL VACCINATION USE
W. JEAN DODDS, DVM
HEMOPET

Note: This schedule is one I recommend and should not be interpreted to mean that otherprotocols recommended by a veterinarian would be less satisfactory. It's a matter of professional judgment and choice. The following protocol is offered for those dogs where minimal vaccinations are advisable or desirable. For all other dogs, the 1999 protocol is still applicable.

Age of Puppy Vaccine Type 9weeks Distemper & Parvocirus MLV (e.g. Intervet Progard Puppy)
12 weeks Same as above or 1 dose at 14 weeks of age
16 weeks Same as above or 1 dose at 14 weeks of age
24 weeks (or older if allowable by law) Rabies
1 year Distemper & Parvovirus MLV
1 year Rabies killed 3- year given 3-4 weeks apart from the Distemper/Parvovirus booster Do vaccine titers for Distemper and Parvovirus annually there after. Vaccinate for Rabies according to the law, except when circumstances indicate that a vaccine waiver be obtained from the primary veterinarian. In that case, a Rabies titer can also be performed to accompany the waiver request.

DR. W. JEAN DODDS AND FRIENDS INVITE YOU TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE RABIES CHALLANGE FUND, "CHALLENGING THE STATUS QUO ON RABIES VACCINES"

World-renowned vaccine research scientist and practicing veterinarian, Dr. W. Jean Dodds of California and pet vaccine disclosure advocate, Kris L. Christine of Maine, have established The Rabies Challenge Fund to raise money to fund concurrent 5 and 7 year rabies vaccine challenge studies in the United States. As a concerned pet owner you can make a difference. Take the challenge and help fund the study. Send a check made out to: Rabies Challenge Fund, c/o HEMOPET, 11330 Markon Drive, Garden Grove, CA. 92814

This raw fed, organic pet food site aims to help you the pet owner, realize that the large marketing budgets that the commercial pet food companies have, are not always geared towards telling you the truth. It will also help to explain why so many pets are ill and die at 10-15 years old instead of living to a ripe, old, fulfilled age.
***Marithyme’s comment: 5 star web site! A must read and view video before you purchase your next dog food.

Maritime/Marithyme Golden's have been involved with Dr. Dodds vaccine protocols on our dogs since 1988 when I was first introduced to her study. A great deal of our success in breeding healthy dogs and the quality of their life is due to the work pioneered by Dr. Dodds and her endless devotion to canine health. Thank you Jean!
