He posses a zest for life with a heart the size of Texas that continues to shine brightly even into his senior years. He is my eternal pupster following in his mother Katie's footsteps! Born during the height of World Cup Soccer and into a family that spent every waking moment on the soccer field, we so named our boy after Cobi Jones. Cobi is eager to retriever and loves water work. We are fortunate to live within walking distance from the Chelmsford/Carlisle cranberry bogs where we swim our dogs regularly. Cobi’s earlier days of swimming were in the Pacific Ocean, Laguna Beach Ca., where he was born and introduced to water. Sadly in late Sept. 2008 Cobi started to faulter and increasingly found it difficult to rise in the mornings. He continued to eat and drink and remained his happy self (just a whole lot slower) until the weekend of the 28th. He could not walk even after we assisted him to his feet, but was still eating and drinking. On Monday I called our Vet and made an appointment at a time our family could all come togethr to be with Cobi as we said our final goodbyes. Now he's running free with his mom Katie, uncle Paddington and his old buddy Cubbie cat. I will never forget my "blast off" bhoy....
